Safi Airways (airline code 4Q), is an Afghan airline established in September 2006. Due to the ongoing situation in Afghanistan and the need for technical support, Safi Airways is currently based in Dubai, although its route network centres on Kabul.

It is the first Afghan airline to comply with European Aviation Safety Agency requirements.

Ownership

Sari Airways is privately-owned and competes with the state-backed Ariana Afghan Airlines.

Route Network

Safi Airways connects Afghanistan with Frankfurt, Dubai, Kuwait, and, from May 2010, Doha. It also plans services to London and Paris as soon as their recent safety concerns are resolved, for more information click here.

Other Information

For more information on Safi airlines and recent safety concern see the wikipedia page here.

Because of the security situation, Safi Airways insists on long minimum check-in times. See its website for details.

The airline has an interline agreement with Lufthansa, which maintains its wide-body fleet and with United Airlines, Emirates and Qatar Airways.
