Pegasus Airlines

Pegasus Airlines (airline code PC), is a Turkish no-frills airline based in Istanbul. It was set up in 1990 as a joint venture between Aer Lingus, Silkar Yatirim and Net Holding in Istanbul and began with two aircraft.

Ownership

Turkish venture capital company Esas Holding acquired Pegasus Airlines in full in January 2005.

Route Network

Pegasus has scheduled international flights to Amsterdam, Athens, Basel, Berlin, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Krasnodar, Copenhagen, Cologne, Nicosia, London, Munich, Stuttgart, Tehran, Vienna and Zurich.

Following the change of ownership in 2005, Pegasus began flying domestic scheduled services from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

Pegasus serves the tourist destinations of Dalaman and Antalya from many points in Europe, particularly those in Germany and the UK.

Other Information

Pegasus operates a fleet of more than 20 Boeing 737s.

Sister airline Izair, a no-frills airline based in Izmir, has a handful of Airbus aircraft.
