Lufthansa has officially unveiled new short- and mid-haul seating, to be installed in its A319s, A320s, A321s, B737-300s and -500s. Lufthansa hopes to have completed reftrofitting 180 aircraft by the end of 2011.

The new Recaro seating is thinner than the current seating and will give around 4cm more legroom, while at the same time allowing Lufthansa to fit in extra rows. Overhead bins have also been redesigned to give more space.

For more on this, see the report on sister publication businesstraveller.com (online news December 15).
