For general notes on Lufthansa's economy class product, click here.
Lufthansa's A380 has 420 economy seats that take up the entire main deck of the aircraft. The economy cabin is configured 3-4-3 (A,B,C - D,E,F,G - H,J,K) and numbered rows 50 to 94.
The best seats of all are 76 A and K, although row 75 is an exit row and also very good. Those seats at front of each economy section should also offer more room, although some will be reserved for bassinet use.

... with the A380, a new generation of Economy Class seats is also being ushered in. In particular, seating comfort and ergonomics as well as the entertainment programme have been considerably enhanced.
Even in the Economy Class cabin of a Lufthansa Airbus A380 there are no such things as "off-the-rack" seats. Lufthansa, Qantas Australia and a seat manufacturer have founded a project group and invited the Fraunhofer Institute in Stuttgart on board to advise on matters of ergonomics. In parallel, Lufthansa has commissioned IDEO, a renowned design company based in Palo Alto, California, to observe the behaviour of passengers on long-haul flights. Based on the results, they will work out proposals for an ergonomically improved seat that will make air travel even more comfortable. The research project has provided valuable information for the technical specifications of the seats and has had a significant influence on the choice of the final model.
The new, individually controlled entertainment system will also become a standard feature of Economy Class. Each passenger will have an integrated monitor in the seat in front, and will have the choice of about ten feature films, various TV programmes and music videos as well as 30 radio channels.
Generous cabin design
The main deck is divided into sections with the aim of creating clearly structured zones that are no larger than those on long-range aircraft today. All the key facilities are located at several points in the cabin.
The cabin equipment and furnishings in all travel classes have to meet high standards and are subjected to stringent tests. Even during the design phase, seats, fabric-covered walls and carpets are "maltreated" with ketchup, mustard and salad dressings. Only materials that can be cleaned quickly without leaving any stains will be later used in the cabin.
