Economy seating on the A340 is configured 2-4-2 (A,C - D,E,F,G -
H,K), although some is 2-3-2, when seat F is missing. The cabin is
split into two and the first part of the second section - seats 30
A,C,H and K, are the best place to sit. Row 29 also offers more space,
but faces a bulkhead.
Lufthansa is in the process of fitting its aircraft with individual seatback screens in economy throughout its fleet. According to Lufthansa, the Airbus fleet will be fitted first with the Boeings following at a later date.
Once fitted, economy passengers will have touch-screen navigation and a choice of up to ten films, as well as radio programmes and music magazines.
