The first class Sleeper seat converts to a 78-inch (two metres) bed with a width of 20.5 inches (52cm). The A340s have a 1-2-1 configuration (A - D,G - K), with a pitch of 84 inches (213cm).
Lufthansa Media World, an AVOD in-flight entertainment system, is available in first class. Options include a wide selection of movies, 100 CDs, audiobooks, radio programmes, computer games and language courses.
Lufthansa plans to launch a new first class product on its fleet of A380s, the first of which is due to arrive in April 2010, and this will then be retrofitted on its older aircraft.
