tiffstuart flew Korean Air Economy (27/07/2011 11:08)

This was my first long haul trip form DFW to Incheon International... the lady at the Korean Air check in was very kind and answered every question I had, being a teenager flying out of the country alone I was a bit worried...

Boarding the flight was very organized since they created lines on what seats and what class you were in and allowed familes to board first so they have plenty of time to situate themselves before the rest boarded. When you arrive to your seats the compartment above is equipped with a blanket, bottled water, headphones (i preferred my own, since after you wear them for a while they hurt your ears) and a pouch with slippers, a toothbrush and toothpaste. Also in your seat is a pillow for those who weren't smart enough to bring neck pillows.

The seats were comfortable for sleeping and reclined. The entertainment was fantastic, you had such a wide selection of recent movies released, famous movies (Like Harry Potter), and old black and white movies (Great Gatsby)... you also had music selection.... The service is great...

The flight attendants are very kind, come around often with FREE snacks, hot towels, and drinks (juice, water, alcohol, ect)... They want you to be comfortable and enjoy your flight... they kept the plane relatively cold, so you will most definately use your very comfy blanket that they provided you with.

My flights have been smooth with not a lot of turbulance like I have experienced with other flights... The food was pretty nice for airplane food, I made the mistake taking the American meal, which wasn't all that tasty, except the salad and the bread was good. So if you are ever ride with Korean Air take the Korean meal... It's delicious bibimbap (rice, meat, and veggies with hot bean paste (the amount is your choice) not to mention you are eating this deliciousness in the FREAKING AIR... so it makes it so much cooler...

The flight attendants kept the plane dark for a long part of my 13 hour flight, because like I said before they want you comftorable and to enjoy the flight... and they want you to be able to sleep... though I didn't sleep because I was too busy watching the awesome movie selection they had right before my eyes....

At the end they all line up near the emergency exits and plane exits and say thank you in English and Korean (ps be kind and say thank you back, they worked hard to make your flight a good one)

Overall, it was a great flight and I HIGHLY recommend if you ever have the chance to fly with Korean Air, you will surely be satisfied.

I have flown by Korean Air from Sao Paulo / Brazil to Los Angeles / USA and it was fantastic, from check-in to landing, both in flight and on the back, I got a great picture of the company and intend to fly with them again.

AHassall flew Korean Air Prestige (Business), on a B777-200 (18/02/2010 17:12)

The seating plan shown on this page is wrong. The seats in Prestige Class are old-style recliners - comfortable, but not as good as the lie-flat beds. The seats are not shown in the right place - Prestige Class seats are all in one cabin.

Same comments for KE130.

Reply from Seatplans.com (22/02/10): This seat plan is correct for the B777-200 config 1, the reader is referring to the second 301-seat configuration which features the older style Prestige and First seats. There is also a third configuration, both of which we are now having drawn up.

Gwangju to Gimpo to transfer to Incheon for a flight to Dubai. Check-in quick. I had 50 kilograms baggage but when I explained I was connecting to a long haul Emirates flight (a codeshare with Koreanair) no excess baggage charges were levied. Boarding very efficient and although boarding only commenced 10 minutes before departure time, doors were closed for an on-time departure. Seats very comfortable, particularly for short haul business class and the aircraft was modern and clean. A limited range of beverages was offered on board served in plastic cups. However, this allowed service to take place very promptly. Cabin crew extremely attentive and professional. Flight landed right on time (my experience with more than 8 sectors within South Korea on Koreanair. Baggage arrived within minutes of the flight landing.

A great short-haul business services. Although catering very limited, it is perfectly adequate for a flight of less than one hour. The consistent ontime departures and arrivals combined with efficient baggage delivery make travel with Koreanair a pleasure.

I've never flown Economy class for a Long haul trip (DXB to ICN), I had a sudden visit to Korea due to Course attendance.

I was amazed by the Comfortable Seats they offer in Economy class, for a Flight that Vary between 8 ~ 10 Hours I would definitely fly Korean Air Again on my destinations which are around korea.

Seat Pitch vary to mostly a 34" which is Amazing, They are not bad for sleeping but they ok.

Loved them and will fly them again

Old seats that are not flat beds but are long enough and flat enough to sleep ok with quilt. Service very good. I think row 2 is the best as the space between the two pairs of seats is the greatest and you don't have the bar/sering area as you have between row 3.

Hong Kong to Seoul May 09. Exceptional onboard service, polite and friendly cabin crew, attentive, nothing is too much trouble. On night/evening flight, blankets were given as well as face mask. The toilets are equipped with toothbrush, toothpaste, fragrance, water for face, etc. Two option meal service; Korean or western. The food was plentiful, hot and very nice. Served on china. A good range of drinks available. The seats were roomy and the whole experience was fantastic. I would recommend this airline to anyone.

I frequently use Korean from London to Seoul. Upstairs is very comfortable despite the age of these planes. Recent seat replacements have improved the level of facilities (pc power, usb charger etc.)
