The 737-900's economy section is configured 3-3 (A,B,C - D,E,F) and offers a 31-inch seat pitch. The exit rows with extra legroom are 39 and 40, although row 39 will have no recline. Row 28, at the front of the cabin, should also offer extra space.

A bad option is the last row (57) as these seats are right next to the washrooms.
