mohitkb flew Kingfisher Airlines Kingfisher First (short haul business), on a A320 (two-class) (03/01/2012 15:03)

Title: Dont Fly Kingfisher Business Class
ID#: 122357138

we flew Kingfisher on a family holiday from Ahmedabad via Mumbai to Singapore. Thankfully we reached in time to do check in and did not avail the lounge facilities as Kingfisher has disconnected its tie up with Clipper Lounge (one opp. Gate 14) and is instead using another lounge quite far from the boarding gate.

Kingfisher used to fly refurbished A 330 on Singapore route. I must admit that they had the at par business class product and a very efficient crew. I was utterly disappointed when I started boarding at Mumbai on a family vacation having spent busienss class fare to travel in a smaller 320 plane where the seats having problems with the leg rest. There was no aerobridge as the aircraft was parked at a distant by and my parents having problems with their knees had to actually take medicines after boarding the aircraft.

After boarding, there were flies inside the aircraft as if it was not cleaned at all. Welcome Drink did not have any choice but only pineapple juice. There was no drinks trolley served. The Indian vegeratian meal was unlike their earlier serving of Lavinsh Indian THali which was cut down to just main course. No starters, no apetisers, only main course. As I did not like the main course, I had no intentions of again surprising myself.

The INflight Entertainment was a total put off and I had to just put it off and as the leg rest was not working, I had just imagined that today was not my day. Imagine that was 31st Dec Night and I was having the worst flight of my night.

During the flight my wife was bitten by some insect and which we later realised was a mosquito. I am really looking that a passenger must have the right to refund of return ticket if he is not satisfied with the onward journey service.

So my advise is DONT FLY KINGFISHER BUSINESS CLASS TO SINGAPORE till the time Mr. Mallaya keeps his standards.

rakhi23 flew Kingfisher Airlines (23/05/2011 17:21)

I recently got back from my beautiful journey from my home town India. Returning back after 5 long years to visit family and friends, and to shop for my wedding was a thought in my mind, which whenever would occur would create this amazing sense of warmth within me. Even though my aim was to get and come back from India safe and sound, and have a succesful trip, I was also much excited about flying with Kingfisher Airlines. And I can assure anyone reading this review right now that if your flying with Kingfisher Airlines you will not be dissapointed.

I was flying on the Economy Class seats. The cabin crew staff through out the going and return flight were excellent. Even though they were serving so many people, they made each passenger feel as if they are important individually. Anything asked upon request was delivered almost instantly. They serve a few meals through out the flight with many options to choose for, eg. Non Veg, Vegiterian, Vegan, Indian Veg, Continental. The food is of very good quality. I must admit the flight back to London had a little more excellence in the meals, however comparing the food overall for a flight was atleast 80% better than any other Airline I have been in.

They have a hugh selection of movies to choose from. Both Bollywood and Hollywood, new and old. They have a few episodes of the American sitcom ' Friends'. They provide you with a flight map and live camera so that you can keep track of where you are flying at current and how long it will take till you reach your destination. Games and kids facilities are also avaiable. There are many toilets located in the plane to access easily.

There were many small things which stood out to me in the kingfisher flight. For example, they gave each passenger a bottle of water in each individuals compartment. There was a foot rest for all passengers, and even though the seats were no where near as comfortable as what Business Class would be, the head rest was adjustable which created a very comfortable journey. They provided you with your own little pillow and a huge warm blanket. They never served drinks on its own. A hot or cold drink was either accompanied with a packet of peanuts or a biscuit.

The pilot didnt speak too much on board, however he kept his words informative yet short and sweet. This new flight literally provides excellence as standard. Its so surreal to believe that flying on an Economy seat could still give you hints of comfort that you would gain when fliying on Business class.

I would definatley fly with Kingfisher next time I decide to go abroad again. Its a flight which costs no more than any other economy class flight with other airlines, however provides service much superior than the others.

Overall a brilliant flight - and no I dont work for Kingfisher, or neither have I been paid to write this review pointing out their qualitys. A job well done should be praised and I believe everyone thinking of traveling on this airline should get a feel of how good their flight really is.

Chocksaway flew Kingfisher Airlines Kingfisher Class (short haul economy), on a A320 (two-class) (25/04/2011 19:28)

A ninety minute economy flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru included breakfast, drinks and full in-flight entertainment programme with free headphones.

I can't really fault it although the legroom isn't that great.

Rapporteur flew Kingfisher Airlines Kingfisher First (long haul business), on a A330-223 (24/03/2011 11:27)

The biggest problem with Kingfisher First, which I flew LHR to Delhi, is that the configuration means that when sitting, you're right next to the person in the next seat, with a distinct lack of privacy.

The in-flight entertainment is at best mediocre: a small and poor choice of films, and a buzzing noise on the sound.

The food was also nothing special: a small thali plate which was very bland. The Dom Perignon didn't quite make up for this.

However, this airline has one big plus going for it. The flatbed is really the most comfortable I have tried, and it is noticeably wider than on British Airways Club World. You also get a nice sleepsuit and comfortable pillows. I managed to sleep most of the way to Delhi, and the crew still gave me breakfast when I woke just 30 minutes before landing.

Overall, I'd say the flight was good value.

Absolutely amazing airline. One of the best business class seats I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Their cabin crew were at the top of their game as well, putting other world class Asian airlines to shame. Would not hesitate to book another ticket with the, one of the best airlines out there.
