Worst Airline in the world"
I have flown all over the world but have never experienced such poor customer service as I had with Jet2. My flight to and from Palma was delayed 7hrs out and 5hrs on the way back, none of the Jet2 staff or their handling agent where any help and wasn’t till they had all of us on the flight demanded a response did we get any answers…little too late and very poor.
To top it all, on our late return my baggage was damaged and a lot of my clothes missing, I am still fighting with them for compensation with them trying to get out of it. I have written to them twice, phoned with no positive outcome to date…so be warned … I have since flown many times to Palma with BMI baby …far better company and a more professional and customer service approach …So Jet2 Never again Very poor Airlin

Disabled people! NOT WITH jet2
If you go on the Jet2 website to book seats you will notice that row 4 is reserved for the disabled people and cannot be booked online. As far as I can see NOT TRUE.
What I believe happens is they are given to people who pay for extra legroom on the day of flight.
I have travelled 4 times in the last year with Jet2 Booking References: 356241/S11H, - 356244/S11H, - 365668/W10H, & Booking Confirmation: 2EKLB3
I have been disabled with Multiple Sclerosis for last 21 years and had a stroke 4 years ago. It’s useful to be near the toilet as I have difficulty walking.
Explained this every time to check in desk even contacted Jet2 customer service. The stewards on the flight see me struggle and say it’s not right and even sympathize, offer to try and change seats further down the plane (once they did get me row 5 because a couple agreed to swap) , not because of Jet2. Even check in 2.5 hours before take off, still row 9 or 10 at best.
So I eventually board the plan by lift clamber with immense difficulty to row 9 or 10. Then watch able-bodied board after me into to so called seats in row 4 reserved for disabled passengers.
So I have just lost a £120 deposit by cancelling a flight in May next year Booking Reference: 411733/S12H. I’m Flying with THOMPSON instead as Jet2 put profit before Disability, had one flight with them no problems so far.
So if you’re disabled with walking difficulties, in my experience Jet 2 NOT recommended.

Jet2 - the plane was dirty. The toilets stank and had no clean loo roll or soap. They charged me £20 each way to print a boarding card as I had forgotten to do it at home and had paid for online check in. Customer experience - stinking and no effort put into making it a pleasant experience for the customer. Topped off by charging me £40 to print a boarding card for each journey. Might have understood that if the plane was clean and fresh and the flight was a pleasant experience, but no effort made to make it so.

Excellent seats - hugely untrained, unqualified and dangerous staff
We travelled from edinburgh to budapest last week, everything for Jet 2 was looking good, online checkin was easy , no problems boarding, luggage space was a bit sparce ( we as most people on the flight were travelling with carry-on luggage only, and the cabin rapidly ran out of room, some bags had to put in the hold, to Jet2's crefit, they didn't charge for this) and seat's were good, best seats i've experienced on any of the budget airlines (Ryanair could learn a thing or two from Jet2) i booked an emergency exit seat and has even more room, but could have managed adequately with the regular seats, I'm a bit bigger than the average traveller, and i was impressed.
However Jet2 let themselves down badly, and i mean very badly, when there was a medical emergency on board, when a smallchild stopped breathing, the so-called head stewardess flapped so much it thought she was going to fly herself.
Thankfully a passenger took control of the situation, but the blond nightmare kept shouting at the passenger who was keeping the childs airway open, to sit down and put on their seatbelt !
She was only concerned with her 'requirement' to follow her procedures and unable to adapt to the situation, telling both the mother & the lifesaving passenger that we would be on the ground in two minutes (it was in fact closer to fifteen minutes) and that she wanted to leave the child on its own without aid from anyone until we landed, so that she could make sure everyone had their seatbelts on !
I have no idea if the child was ok, but if he was it was no thanks to the completey incompetant air stewardess (if you are reading this jet2, you should be very thankfull to the passenger who saved your other passengers life and to the stewardess with the black hair ,who dispite the rantings of the head stewardess, managed to take control of the situation, and calm down the hysterical mother , and the seating fiasco caused by your so called person in charge) the return flight was thankfully less eventful, but the staff lacking in any real professionalism or courtesy

Flew Jet2 last september. The plane was clean in pre-upgrade seats. The airline was very good and the cabin crew were always to hand. Great service and flight. Overall will be using again sometime soon.

SBToulson flew Jet2 Economy (extra legroom), on a B757-200 (10/02/2011 17:02)
Jet2 Economy extra legroom, which I discovered purely by accident, has revolutionised airline travel for me. My problem has never been with leg-room, rather with spare-tyre(s) room. I have a considerable 'bay window'. For years, I haven't been able to use the seat table when travelling. If with my late husband I always shared his: now, often travelling alone, I've had to hope for an empty seat next to me, to use that, or not bother with the refreshments. With the new seats, I can use the table (and enjoy the in-flight meals, where offered).
More importantly, on a safety issue, I find it much easier to get out of my seat and into the aisle with the more generous seat pitch. There is a much greater space between the back of the seat in front and the seat edge, and thus I can stand upright in between them. Being arthritic, this is something I can't do in seats which are closer together, and the days when I can still sling my leg over the arm of the seat and haul myself out that way are numbered, I fear.
So, I'm utterly delighted with the new seats, which have made my recent journeys so much more comfortable (and dignified!). I hope that Jet2 will soon see their way to installing similar seats in their smaller planes. Watching people embarking on my last flights, I noticed how we are, as a nation, getting bigger. I'm no longer the only one needing the extension seat belt. I'm glad that Jet2 are taking we bigger passengers into consideration (rather than metaphorically shrugging their shoulders and implying that we're so gross that we shouldn't be travelling anyway - like some more notorious budget airlines). Nowadays, I always choose Jet2.

TomLeeds flew Jet2 Economy, on a B757-200 (31/10/2009 16:54)
We were flying from Leeds/Bradford Airport to Malaga on Friday 23rd until Friday 30th of October 2009.
As there were four of us we only took two bags, fine outbound into Malaga but inbound into Leeds/Bradford they wanted €55 for extra baggage. We had added nothing into our suitcases and we had to take out 3 towels and 4 shirts so that the bags would be under the 44kg baggage allowance. We were 0.5kgs over the allowance and the check-in assistant was determined to get it under. Boarding in Leeds was great, although we didn't have the air bridge on stand 8, everyone boarded quickly and we got off on-time.
The boarding in Malaga was 'ok' as the 757 had the air bridge on the door at the very front of the aircraft, so they called out seat numbers for boarding, but I have to say, was quick and again got away on time. The seats were perfect, in the middle of the aircraft and this is where we always sit and enjoy doing so. The service and punctuality was great, all staff were smiling, helpful and went out of their way to satisfy the passengers. Food and Drink was also great, a wide variety and tasty as well. As this was a short-haul service, we didn't sleep, although the seats were very comfortable and not to bulgy. We flew out to Malaga on G-LSAJ, which was bought from TUI, so was clean, comfortable and quiet. On our return flight we flew back on G-LSAI, which was bought from a Chinese Airline. You could tell, badly.
The aircraft was falling to pieces, dirty; trays, seats, walls and arm-rests. When we arrived back in Leeds, we were surprised not to see a Thomson 737-800 on an air bridge which should have arrived from Corfu, but as we landed early it was just behind us. Very Predictable Thomson, always on-time/early. We got an air bridge, Stand 8 and Thomson took Stand 7, next to us. We were already dis-embarking the aircraft when Thomson's air-bridge was just being fitted, but once we got into the arrivals hall, Thomson's luggage was already going through and only when all the Thomson passengers had left the baggage-reclaim area, did our baggage start to come through.
Maybe Jet2 should spend more of the £32Million Profit they have received on; Updating Aircraft and making sure they are clean, providing a better service in some sectors - e.g. Baggage and Checking-In staff abroad and talking to Leeds/Bradford Airport about favouritism towards airlines which pay more, so they receive a quicker service that an airline who is based there.
