DingoWorld flew Jet Airways (20/01/2012 10:59)

Jet Airways has revealed the worst company with which he has never traveled.

I just got back from my trip to India.

The routes that I had purchased are:
DELHI-Malpensa (airport 23h)-TRIVANDRUM regarding the way, and Mumbai-Delhi (airport 2h)-MILAN was return.

On the way, at the Italian check-in (Malpensa airport), I found an assistant who, with his total incompetence recommended me to collect my luggage to my final destination and instead when I arrived at the Dalhi airport, I have restarted because I should first withdraw and then re-embarked the luggage. To resume my journey to Trivandrum I had to speak with assistant jet airways around the airport for two days.

The next day I went in the morning (as they requested) but it was already full-Plane (despite the fact that I had received the day before and after they having promised to make me start with a plane in the afternoon) I finally boarded the evening.

On the return trip to Mumbai, the flight has deleted half an hour before boarding, so I had lose my international flight.

The assistant told me that I would be able to leave after 2 days, so despite not part of my character, I expressed my disappointment, I started to scream and ... it magically appeared for a flight the next morning! I have embarked in the afternoon to Delhi and ... they have lost my luggage!

I spent the whole day at the airport to find them, however, enduring the rudeness of the assistants.

After being "parked" in a hotel for the night, the next morning the plane left with 3 hours delay.

I traveled often and with different companies: Jet Airways is by far the worst. The Ryan Air is like comparing the Singapore Airlines ....

Finally, the plane I ate Indian food and flavored fake. A dish that I would not give even to my cat.

I traveled often and with different companies: Jet Airways has been the most painful and inefficient.

In this "beautiful" experience I have had the opportunity to meet other Indians and Italians who told me about their experiences and how these totals inefficiencies occur every day on flights Jet Airways.

Also (strangely enough ...) help desks at airports Indians of this company I found them always full of people moaning and screaming in front of you waving boarding passes.
In front of Kingfisher and others I never found anyone ... it's a chance ...?

Manage an airline is not how to manage a souvenir kiosk.

I wish them to fail in the shortest possible time.

Having struggled to reserve a flight with interline connections from Glasgow via the Jet Airways website, I was able to get my travel agent to do the necessary.

Although BA honoured the 69kg baggage allowance and gave me full tier points for the flight, I was not allowed access to their lounge (even with my 560 tier points being pointed out, which would be 600 and enough to get me in on a silver card by the time I got home), getting things off to a bad start. I also was not provided with an onward boarding card from Heathrow or any instructions on how to get one by the BA agents in Glasgow and had to seek this out at Heathrow.

I've never much cared for Terminal 4 and it never gives me any reason to. It is congested and has the feeling of being cheaply thrown together. Jet Airways have an arrangement to use the Skyteam lounge and I was glad to escape the crowds. The lounge was busy but I was able to find a seat. The refreshments were pleasent with a hot buffet and a good selection of drinks.

The screen announced boarding about 45 minutes before the scheduled departure and I wandered around to the gate. There was general chaos there and no sign of boarding, which started around 20 minutes later with first and business class getting priority, if you could find the line!

Upon boarding, I was asked to switch seats to let a young girl sit closer to her monther, which I was happy to do but had to lose my window for 11D. Fresh orange was served and I was asked if I would like a sleep suit and what size. This was never forthcoming. A small amenity pack was given, which was pleasent if a little lightly stocked.

Dinner was served quickly from a menu of Indian and European choices and was nicely served and a good size. Service was friendly and attentive without being overly fussy and dinner was finished quickly. I watched a film from the large selection - some of the Hollywood titles were a little dated but a good way to pass a few hours.

I asked for my seat to be made up to sleep and this was done. I was able to sleep comfortably for maybe four hours, perhaps only waking once or twice. The head area was a little small as the seat comes in at the top. Otherwise, it was very comfortable. I would probably take earplugs if you're a light sleeper - none are provided and I find the a/c to be quite noisy on the 777.

The lights were switched on about 90 minutes before landing and a (rather light) breakfast of yoghurt and pastries were served.

We landed a little early in Delhi. Immigration was very fast through the priority lane and bags were on the belt 10 minutes later.

A very good experience for the price paid, just watch out for BA if you get interlined with them! I'm lead to believe that you'd get lounge access no problem with BMI.

Hello, Have flight already many times to India. This was our first time we flew by jet airways.

We had a flight from brussel to mumbai and a retour from Delhi to Brussel on economic class.

Never had such a good leg space in an economic class. Check in tooks a long time, for example in comparing to singapore airlines. Staff is friendly, but a little reserved. Food on both flights is not good. Now every food in an plane taste the same, but this was really bad.

So we didn't eat much, only the bread was okay. We know that's an indian company, but not everybody likes the dal and other things from there. It's a pity that the configuration with the triple seven is 3-3-3. Many people fly as man and wife and then you have sometimes a fat man/woman in between. So is not comfortable.

Okay is the A330 with 2-4-2.Overall I would recommand jet air, but with the restriction on the food. That can be much better!!!!!!

It was rather a pleasant experience flying on Jet with similar experiences in the past.

It was indeed remarkable to mention the service provided right from check-in counters at Chennai Airport to collecting my baggage on arrival at Mumbai.

Also, the in-flight service was commendable and overall I rate this experience above average.

Travelled from LHR to Mumbai in economy using Jet Airways for the first time. Check in was located in zone C of T4 at London which is at the opposite end to the train terminal which I arrived from. It was a bit of a tussle to flight through the crowds - but the check in desks themselves were quiet and the staff very pleasent. Security check was passed through swiftly with no problems. Boarding the flight was fairly relaxed - but a little bit of a free for all as it wasnt done by seat row number. I was advised to get on early as all the locker space can be taken up quickly - which I appreciated as this happened. My seat was 28G and located in the small cabin located between Business and the toliets. This little cabin is nice as it only has four rows (3-3-3 across) - so doesnt ten to get the passing trafic in the aisles that the other two economy cabins. The seat was comfortable (for an economy seat) and had good adjustment for the headrest. There are nice little touches on Jet Airways which many other airlines forget or do not bother with. These included mood lighting set according to the time of day / night, hot towels given out on boarding, metal cutelry with your meals and a push out LED lamp in the back of the seat in front of you to for personal use. All this in economy!!!! The meals were served and hot tasty food. It was nice to see that even though Jet Airways is an Indian airline - they offer euopean food (something even British Airways cant do!!!!). After watching a film from the AVOD system - I settled down for some rest. The seats are a little narrow and I was disturbed byt he person next to me (god knows how some fit 10 a breast on a 777). I slept relatively well through the night and was woken to the smell of warm croissant for breakfast. The breakfast was simple but tasty and served / cleared very swiftly. Arrival in Mumbai was pretty much on time and bags arrived as expected. Overall an excellent service. Its a shame Jet dont offer a Premium Economy cabin as I would convert permanenetly if they did The only down side is the lack of personal space in the seat - everything else was good.

We travelled to Thailand in March, the flight from Heathrow to Mumbai was excellent - fantastic service and food. Mumbai Airport o.k. but the security check given that we were transfering from one international flight to another was awful. At one point I had an Indian soldier almost stick his FN rifle up my nose! The connecting flight to Bangkok was on a what appeared to be a very old aircraft -everything was tired incluing the crew. The inflight entertainent was exactly the same as the flight from London to Mumbai. Our return flights - Bangkok to Mumbai same tired dirty old aircraft, same awful treatment by rude Indian soldiers at the security check (when I asked how I could be compliant he looked the other way and then shoved me with his rifle butt). The flight from Mumbai to Heathrow was comfortable but the service was lousy, they ran out of food and it was nearly 3 and a half hours into the flight when we were offered a drink - despite the fact that the people in the row infront of us had been served and the row behind us had been served - we had been asked what we would like but they never came back. The we were asked what food we would like and they said they had run out of that and we had to wait another 2 hours before they gave us anything - telling us we should be grateful as it came from business class, well if i was given such crap in business class I would be talking to my lawyer. Rest assured we will never travel with Jet Aireways again.

I have flown Jet Premiere on their short haul international routes several times and while their planes are new and the seats are ok, the inflight the service is not at par with the 5 Star airlines such as Asiana, Singapore or Cathay. Check in staff are very helpful.

Bombay to Delhi. Boarding was by bus and a bit chaotic as there was only one security person checking boarding passes of all flights going on the buses. This was not Jet's fault.

I had managed to get 15C which had lots of legroom and as the seats in front did not recline was very spacious. Seats A and F looked cramped and had no proper arm rest (just a small arm rest stuck on the emergency exit door). Your commentary says this are reserved for crew but the people in the seats did not look like crew.

The fight was delayed on the ground so the crew offered water and juice before take off. Food (veg or non veg curry) was served after take off along with another bottle of water and a slice of cake. This was followed up by tea and coffee. No bar service of any type.

My Wife and I were with Travelsphere's Golden Triangle Tour on Flight N0 9W121 to Delhi on18th Oct 2009 from Heathrow and had the unbelievable experience for us to be upgraded to Premiere class for the flight. We were vert impressed with the seating, comfort the food and drink, and the entertainment. We had imagined what it would be like if in the very unlikely event we were able to travel Business Class but did not think that we would ever be able to do it. So Thank you very much Jet Airways for making two pensioners very very happy.

Seat was comfortable and felt like more legroom than on the average European shorthaul. There was a hot food service which although I did not eat had a nice smell. Only water, lime juice and orange juice offered but other soft drinks are available on demand. I had a diet coke.

Checking in at an Indian Airport can always be a bit of a fight but today was OK. Boarding was chaotic though. Was sitting in a middle seat 26E which was OK. Surprising amount of legroom although the seat kept reclining on its own accord! Chicken curry that was served was also very good and tasty. Overall a good service with baggage returned promptly at the end

I travelled from Mumbai to Jaipur in Dec 2008. 9W has a 24-hr service for flight information. There is a dedicated service for their frequent flyers, and business passengers. Check-in staff are pleasant and professional. Cabin crew are very effective and manage well on short flights. All went smoothly.

In terms of spaciousness and fittings, Jet's Premier class is one of if not the best business offerings. First class in dimensions, loads of well thought out places for knick knacks and glasses and simple very broad sleeping space. The IFE is very good too and the cabin ambience very pleasing. Although new, there are areas in which Jet can improve, no pre take off drinks at LHR for example, cabin crew are a bit all over the place (on my last flight I was asked if I wanted breakfast four times each by a separate crew member), while the food is tasty, the service is a bit to stuffy. Overall, could be a challenger!

Seat 5K Good seat as far enough away from both galleys and toilets and benefits from looking at the wall at the back of the seats in front of you. Lounge at Mumbai keeps changing due to building works - its getting better but the airport is a disaster area still which hampers what is otherwise a fantastic service from Jet. Great staff - can't comment on the food as was asleep! Was tempted to stay awake when I saw the Dom Perignon coming round though!!!
