Executive Class Seasons is JAL's long haul business class. There are three different version.

The SkyLuxe Seat

The SkyLuxe seat reclines to 152 degrees.

The Shell Flat Seat

The maximum seat pitch between rows is 157cm and the recline 170 degrees. Seat width is 59.7cm or 23.5 inches and when fully extended in bed mode it is 190cm or 75 inches long.

The Shell Flat Neo Seat

Launched on the new 777-300ER aircraft on US routes, the seat configuration is 2-3-2 with 77 seats in the business class cabin.

The seat's design is based on the Shell Flat Seat, but has been improved, allowing it to recline to an angle of 171 degrees. The seat pitch is 153 cm (60 inches) and width is 49cm (19.2 inches).

In a reclined position the stats are: Bed Width 57cm ?22.3inch?; Bed Length 192cm ?75.6inch?; IFE screen 39 cm (15.4 inch).

The upholstery of the seat, which now includes a slip-proof cover, has been enhanced to ensure passengers can relax to the full and enjoy the most refreshing of sleeps. The controls of the seat have been refined to enable passengers to find the perfect position in which to relax. Three handy locations for spectacles, slippers and a water bottle have been incorporated into the new design and the magazine rack has been enlarged.

I flew into Osaka via Narita together with typhoon Roke. While it was not a pleasant flight because of the storm, it was understandable that the crew tried to make it as comfortable as possible.
