Ownership
Icelandair is the largest subsidiary of the Icelandair Group, which it merged with in 2005. Icelandair Group is a publicly traded company on the Iceland stock exchange.
Route Network
Iceland is ideally positioned mid-Atlantic for Icelandair to use Keflavik as a mini-hub, allowing transfers from flights to and from Europe and the US. As such it is often used as a budget way to travel to the US or for those wishing to stop over in Iceland on the way to their final destination.
