My parents flew with this airline, and they actually didn't mind the lack of "luxuries".

Actually, my dad claims to have been able to lie across 3 seats and sleep the entire flight! No one bothered him to ask which meal he needed, since none were provided. This was Copenhagen-Boston, round trip.

Besides some minor delays, there was nothing at all wrong with flying with them. Remember, if you cut costs, you can't expect things to run 100% perfectly. Hopefully there is no hit upon safety, I think federal regulations prevent that.

I had to fly with them in 2010 from copenhagen to iceland and that only took 29 hour´s ! and ground crew did not do any thing for me or my pregnant girlfriend , and when we got finaly check´d in after 23 hours the plain was late from iceland so that was a good wait , the once on board there was no food for sale no soda´s just water , no entertainment !

Iceland Expess is an "Ryan Air" type of airline. It´s cheap but you can not relay on it!
The seats are... bad, they have cheap food, you do not need to pay for using Visa card, and there is free baggage, but it is still cheaper then "Ryan Air". I recommend Iceland Express for people which don´t have the money to pay for "Icelandair" but still fly quite often.
