Iceland Express (airline code 5W) is a low-cost carrier operating during winter months from Reykjavik to seven destinations and during summer from Reykjavik to 23 destinations, mainly serving the leisure traveller.
Ownership
The airline brand is owned by Iceland's Fengur, an investment company.
Route Network
The airline, which launched in 2003, currently operates a daily service between London Gatwick and Reykjavík. It now has a broad spread of destinations, including Copenhagen and Berlin.
Travellers can also reach New York from London Gatwick. In June 2011, Iceland Express will fly to New York on a daily basis and will launch new services to Chicago and Boston. It will also launch new routes from Edinburgh and Belfast to Reykjavik and USA.
