Dominic flew Gulf Air Business, on a A330-200 Sleeper (29/12/2008 16:54)
Flew this aircraft from LHR to Bahrain on our way to Thailand for our honemoon in Business Class. The call from the lounge was at the perfect time, as by the time we arrived at the gate we were straight on board as all of the Y class passengers had boarded. We were quickly greeted and coats taken. We were offered juice, no champagne was offer but it was Ramadan. Seats were very comfortable, the padding was a little thin, but it was very comfortable. The serivce was good, not as polished as Virgin, BA or the other big carriers, but friendly. Food was one of the nicest food I have eaten in Business, this includes BA and Virgin. Seat in sleep mode was rather comfortable and didn't get the sliding feeling you get on some slanted "beds". Overall I would consider this airline again to fly in Business as their fares are very competitive.

majhussain flew Gulf Air Economy (12/12/2008 12:40)
we were flying to dubai via bahrain and thought it would be great with gulf air. i was so wrong about the image portrayed on its website. they claim to give more than your ordinary airline, however it was so bad i wouldn't even take my own mother on it!!!!!!!! in addition, the airplane we had from bahrain to dubai was way too old probably older than my great-grandfather!!! all in all, it was a pretty dreadful experience and have no intention on going on it again, not if i won't die!!!!

JBBorden flew Gulf Air First, on a A340-300 Sleeper (26/11/2008 07:03)
Flew BAH-Shanghai.
Seats do go flat - but are very lumpy, not quite like a bed at all. A nice duvet/comforter was provided, but the interior cabin was too hot to even think about using it. Was able to sleep the entire 10 1/2 flight, as the attendants honored by request not to be disturbed at all.

Flew Coach - LHR-BAH (many times). The seat pitch is truly miserable, barely room to keep one's knees from the seat in front.
Service is generally quite efficient, if you order a special meal you will get it 1/2 hr before the rest of the cabin (but with no beverage) allowing you to sleep more on the flight.
Gulf does a TERRIBLE job at temperature regulation - their flights always seem to hot. Requests to adjust the temp are usually pleasantly ignored.

rainmaker flew Gulf Air First, on a A340-300 (05/10/2008 10:10)
These aircraft have not been furnished, so the seats are very old and not functional. I've been on them twice to Bangkok, and have had either the seat not working or the video system not working.

rainmaker flew Gulf Air Business, on a A320-200 (05/10/2008 10:03)
On the A320, Gulf Airs seats are old and need refurbishment. I have to admit though that they are some of the widest seats available for intra gulf flight.
