Easyjet's seats generally have a 29-inch seat pitch and do not recline.
From spring 2012, passengers on selected flights will be allocated a specific seat on a trial basis. It has not yet been decided if a fee will be charged for this, but it is almost certain that if you want the exit seats or any other with more room, you will have to pay.
Easyjet will continue with its Speedy Boarding option, which means you can still get on ahead of other passengers, although some will question the need for this if seats have already been allocated.
Members of the Easyjet Plus corporate fliers' scheme will still be able to reserve their seats free, except, of course, the extra room seats.
Some may consider it worth paying for seat allocation, as apart from giving you the pick of the seats, it also frees you from the second undignified scramble, finding somewhere to stow your bag in the overhead lockers. This is becoming more of a problem as, like all low-cost carriers, Easyjet charges for each piece of hold luggage.
You can, of course, also expect to pay for everything else on board. Food is usually of the panini type sandwich and is quite expensive.

Downside - as previously... more

I fly Easyjet quite often. They are always clean and comfortable with among the best crew around! The only down side is not having allocated seating which results in a pushing match with other passengers. I notice they are going to trial allocated seating, lets hope the bring this out as a full feature. I always find the aircraft clean and welcoming and the crew are... more
