Eastern Airways (airiine code T3) is based at Humberside Airport and concentrates on serving the business traveller, particularly those in the oil industry. It operates 29 and 50-seat turbo-prop aircraft.

Ownership

The airline is owned 50/50 by entrepreneurs Bryan Huxford, chairman and Richard Lake, managing director.

Route Network

Eastern Airways serves 17 destinations in the UK, France and Norway. Aberdeen, Newcastle and Southampton airports are its most important bases. From January 2009, it will fly Aberdeen-Oslo and, later in the year, London City-Amsterdam.

Other Information

There is no separate business cabin on board Eastern Airways flights, but there are three basic classes of tickets and several fare categories available according to how flexible your travel plans must be.  The good news is that passengers with all three ticket classes receive free light snacks and refreshments on all flights. Another attraction is that there is a full complimentary bar - including champagne - on most services, appropriate to the time of day.

All seats are allocated at check-in. Emergency exit (extra leg-room) seats can be requested at check-in on a first-come, first served basis. There is no charge for this. Certain restrictions apply for passengers who wish to sit in an emergency exit row.
