Croatia Airlines (airline code OU) is the national airline of Croatia, based at Zagreb airport.

Ownership

Croatia Airlines began life as Zagreb Airlines in 1989, changing its name to its present branding a year later. It is owned by the Croatian government.

Route Network

Croatia Airlines' hub is at Zagreb, the country's capital. However, Croatia's tourism industry means that the airline also flies direct from Dubrovnik, Split and other tourist destinations to various cities in Europe during the summer season. Croatia's mountainous terrain also means that the airline has a large domestic network despite the comparatively small size of the country.

The Croatia Airlines fleet now includes 10 aircraft – four Airbus A319, four Airbus A320 and two Dash 8-Q400 aircraft. All aircraft were blessed and christened, so that the Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft bear the names of Croatian cities, and the Dash 8-Q400 aircraft bear the names of Croatian regions.
