China Airlines' economy seating offers a pitch of 31-32 inches in long-haul and 31 inches on short-haul. Long-haul aircraft are being refitted with new cabins which include 6.5-inch seat-back videos with AVOD. Short-haul aircraft have screens that drop from the ceiling.
On Airbus A340s, seats are of the new slide-forward type, which gives more legroom. The A340's interactive entertainment system offers 12 films plus other programming.
