Cathay Pacific's B747-400 comes in three configurations. The standard B747 has extra economy seats while the premium configuration carries more business passengers. The third variety of B747, which flies London-Hong Kong, comes with Cathay's new premium class products.
This is the B747-400 featuring Cathay's new Economy, Business and First class products. Half of Cathay's flights between London and Hong Kong are served by this configuration.
For example, First class now features nine suites as opposed to 12 seats previously. The new suites offer seats which can be used as an armchair, a chaise longue or a fully flat bed (38 inches wide by 81 inches long) touted as the largest provided by any commercial airline. There is also an ottoman and an extendable table to accommodate guests, storage space, a 17-inch screen, work surfaces and in-seat power available.
