The new generation B737-800 is the most modern short-haul aircraft in American Airlines' fleet. AA plans to receive a total of 130 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft deliveries from 2009 - 2013. Each new aircraft is to be fitted with the modern Boeing Sky Interior with LED lighting and sculped sidewalls and overhead bins to provide customers with a roomier feeling cabin.
