Air New Zealand's B777-300ER will enter service for the first time in 2011, on the Auckland-Los Angeles route.
The B777-300ER will be the first aircraft to feature ANZ's new Premium Economy 'Spaceseat', which will come in a 2-2-2 configuration.
The Spaceseat will come in two variations - The middle two seats are know as the Innerspace seats, while the two on the end of either row are the Outerspace seats.
ANZ hopes the Innerspace seats will appeal to those wishing to socialise, as the middle armrests can be raised and used as a table. The Outerspace seats are aimed at those seeking privacy.
A quirky feature of the seat is the absence of a foot stool in favour of a beanbag, which ANZ has named Otto (he really wants to be an ottoman).
Seatplans.com says...
The two seats on the ends of each row, the Outerspace seats, face outwards. These will be extra private with great views out of the aircraft as they face towards the windows. The two seats in the middle of each row, the Innerspace seats, will be a good choice for couple travelling together.
