Flight search
Air Mauritius (airline code MK) was founded on 14 June 1967 and is the national airline for Mauritius. Its base is Port Louis, the island's capital. The airline has a fleet of 15 aircraft. To see the Air Mauritius main page, click here.
Ownership
Air Mauritius Holding, part of Mauritius's State Investment Corporation, owns 51% of the airline. Another 20% is publicly held, with the rest made up of a group of minor shareholders. British Airways took a 10.5 per cent share in Air Mauritius in 1973, however recently, it sold it to the Mauritius government for £3.2 million.

Other Information
Air Mauritius contributes actively to the economic development of Mauritius. It is currently investing in order to reach a target set by the Government of Mauritius of two million tourists by 2015. As well as this, it has ordered two A330-200s to operate flights to Singapore and Perth.
