Air India has five B777-200LR (Long Range) aircraft, which can fly from India to the US without stopping. It was due to have a fleet of eight by mid-2009.
The 238-seater aircraft is in three classes: 195 seats in economy, 35 in business (Executive Class) and eight seats in first class.

The entire aircraft cabin has mood lighting in soft shades of mauve, green and pink depending on time of day.

The in-flight entertainment consists of a choice of programmes from over 250 hours of video and 150 hours of audio.

In First Class, video programmes can be viewed on a 23-inch monitor, in Executive Class on a 15-inch monitor and in Economy Class on a 10.4-inch monitor.  Enhancing the experience is a set of Bose hi-fi headphones.
