Air France has its A320 fleet configured in five different ways, with a maximum number of passenger seats ranging from 159 to 178, depending on where you are flying.

Firstly, there is an all economy domestic version, seating 178 or 172, plus a two-class European layout, seating 165.

Those aircraft flying to Africa and the Middle East seat 159 in business and economy and finally, aircraft flying within the Indian Ocean or French Caribbean seat 171, with economy and Alize classes.

The version shown here is the 165-seater, but it is essentially the same as the aircraft used on the Indian Ocean and Caribbean services. On these aircraft, the first three rows are Alize seating and the remainder are economy.

The layout is also similar to that used on Middle East and African routes, which also have 29 rows, with up to seven of these being business class.

Of the two domestic versions, the 172-seater has 30 rows of seats with seats 30 C and D missing. The exit rows are 11 and 12.

The 178-seater has 1A,B and C missing and rows 12 and 14 are the exits. This aircraft has 32 rows, with 31 and 32 C missing and 32 D,E and F absent.
