Wingtips flew Air China Business class, on a B737-300 (04/12/2010 17:56)
I hear Air China is phasing out their B737s, and they should because the aircraft I took from Hong Kong to Tianjin on November 30 featured shabby (but neat) interiors, which doesn't fit their image as the flagship of a global economic powerhouse. The business class product was showing a lot of wear and tear, what more the seats in economy. (I didn't bother to look.) If there was anything to praise in the flight, I would give high marks to the flight attendants who tried their best to make their customers as comfortable as possible during the two hour and some flight. With the lack of a proper inflight entertainment system – meaning the personal TV monitors that I have gotten so used to – there was really nothing much to do than catch up on much needed sleep.
