AirBaltic (airline code BT) is a short and medium-haul airline based in Riga, Latvia and with bases in Tallinn in Estonia and Vilnius, Lithuania.
Ownership
AirBaltic Corporation was established in 1995, originally with an investment from SAS. SAS sold its stake to management in 2009 and now the shareholders are the Latvian state, with 52.6%, and the management, Baltijas aviacijas sistemas SIA, with 47.2%.
Route Network
From Riga, AirBaltic offers more than 70 routes including Almaty, Beirut, Dubai, London, Moscow, Venice, Vienna, Warsaw, Yerevan and Zurich. From Vilnius, more than 10 routes are operated; including Amsterdam, Berlin and Manchester. From Tallinn, AirBaltic has a small number of services including Stockholm.
Other Information
AirBaltic carries around three million passengers and has more than 30 aircraft, including Boeing 757s, which operate its longer routes.
