Flight search
Air Arabia (airline code 3O), a no-frills carrier, commenced operations in October 2003 with a fleet of new Airbus A320 aircraft, serving destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, South and Central Asia. Its main hub is in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
Ownership
Air Arabia was set up by the UAE state in 2003 and became a Public Joint Stock Company listed on the Dubai Financial Market in 2007. A joint venture, Air Arabia Maroc, was established in 2009 with Morocco's Regional Air Lines, a privately-owned carrier, and Ithmaar Bank of Bahrain. Air Arabia Maroc is based at Casablanca.
Route Network
Air Arabia has an extensive network throughout India, the Middle East and the former Soviet countries. It has taken its first steps into Europe with a service to Athens. Air Arabia Maroc flies to London Stansted, Brussels Charleroi, Lyon, Marseilles, Milan Bergamo and Paris.
Other Information
Air Arabia's current fleet consists of 16 leased aircraft, but the company signed an agreement with Airbus in November 2007 to purchase up to 49 Airbus A320s.
