Aeroflot Russian Airlines, (airline code SU) founded in July 1992, is the largest carrier in Russia and one of the oldest airlines in the world. It is part of the SkyTeam alliance which is the second largest alliance in the world. Aeroflot's fleet ranks among the youngest in Europe and currently consists of 85 aircraft. Ownership
The Government of the Russian Federation owns 51 per cent of stock, while employees and legal entities own the remaining 49 per cent.

Other Information
Aeroflot is introducing new Airbus A330s on long-haul routes. On the shopping list are the Sukhov Superjet-100 plus 22 new Airbus A350s and 22 new Boeing B787 Dreamliners by 2014. In March 2009, Aeroflot opens Terminal Sheremetyevo-3, a dedicated Aeroflot and SkyTeam facility.
